You’re kidding – you think this is newsworthy?  While the link demanding Ms. Rehman’s resignation certainly constitutes valid and useful political strategy, what the hell is this about??  Why not put together clips of her lying through her teeth in service of her political bosses, doing her job rather too effectively?  Is a shot of her smoking an adequate or valid substitute for political comment and critique?  I suppose it is if you are of the lowly sort who thinks that any woman in the public spotlight must always be judged by factors that have nothing to do with her job description – what she says and does can thus be made irrelevant in the face of an expose of her acting in a way that challenges the naik parveen role that women must always be bound to play.   It’s just a cigarette. Get a grip boys.
