Only few moments ago they are shown holding the cup with greatest pride, bowing to almighty Allah and carrying the greatest pleasure. It is the great slap on those over proud over efficient nations who have been dreaming to carry the cup and boasting their teams to an extraordinary extent which turned out to be futile attempt.
Now we, Pakistanis can proudly say to the world that we have the talent, the spirit, the nerves , the confidence and everything that is required to be proud citizen. The celebrations in Pakistan has reached to its peak and people have come out of their houses, shouting, whistling, and even dancing which is emerging as a great sight. Pakistan has won with 139 scores, with 8 wickets in hand whereas Sri Lankan team only scored 138.
Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Sri Nagar and everywhere we can see people thundering followed by the bursts of fireworks. The president and the Prime Minister has already congratulated the whole team of Pakistan and the whole nation, having gifted people with the news of no load shedding. Even in the markets, shops big-screen televisions were installed to provide extra convenience to the nation and even the people of Swat are celebrating the memorable moments.
This means that once more, Pakistan cricket team has become the pride of our nation and we can now proudly say to whole world with our back turned to those who have threaten the country with extremism, terrorism and once more we can proudly say ‘WE ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS’
