Just when the Rehman DakaitMalik has announced that with the cooperation of FIA, they are launching a crackdown against those who exchange foul messages (SMS + Emails) or remarks against the top leadership of Pakistan. The offender could be jailed for 14 years. Just when this news came in, I instantly got the clue that this is just another crackdown on free speech.
And this instantly reminded me of an anonymous blogger who used to pen his anger against president on his famous blog ZardariKutta.com (literally Zardari Dog). The blog was quite humorous and therefor was quite famous. But when just today, I checked this website and was shocked to see that this website was taken off.
That blogger was there on twitter too. His twitter ID was @zardarikutta . When I checked his twitter microblog (twitter.com/zardarikutta) it was also taken down. What could possibly have done with this blogger? We all know that FIA’s Cyber Crime chapter is full of latest equipment, so they might have traced this blogger ?? and he might have ended up in the imprisonment of 14 years.
Well, I am not sure what exactly has happened with him, but this symbolizes that now the bloggers might be cracked down too. Share your views please
