Yet another, full of dangerous dares, Pakistan’s first ever reality show started off on Jan 14 with the latest dangerous stunts of VJ Waqar Zaka. Waqar is seen playing around with a lioness at the beginning of the 3rd season. In spite of security challenges faced by the country these days, a large number of youth from all over Pakistan showed up. Especially when this time, more possibilities of auditions i.e. online video auditions were introduced.
For the reason of shocking and testing the daring capability of contestants, a lioness sits besides Waqar Zaka in the audition. Now that is something really potentially dangerous and truly daring perhaps. But ofcourse, this is the only creative reality show around, that attracts a large number of Pakistani youth. However, we should not forget the tragic death of Saad Khan, a participant in another reality show produced by Oxygene Channel with association of Unilever.
I am certain that VJ Waqar is sensible enough to have arranged fool proof security measures for the contestant; still I once again demand the respective authorities to make sure the availability of full security and should be able to respond to any emergency immediately.
Critics and controversies have always been with the host and the show, in the previous seasons as well. Few blasted VJ Waqar for being so rude and spreading the alleged ‘vulgarity’ on the national TV, others accused the show of being the copy of MTV India’s Rodies and Fear Factor. However, the show still remains to be the only daring reality show of Pakistan.
