Every Pakistani must have been feeling proud after reading this post, well this is true! Indians are in deep love with the creative creation of Pakistan, Coke Studio. Everywhere on internet, there’s been a buzz on Indian forums, communities, and social media. Surprisingly “Coke Studio India” is been in the trending searches, have a look:
There are dedicated communities over internet demanding an Indian version of Coke Studio. One such community is I want Coke Studio INDIA, where they actively share the videos and downloads from Coke Studio and keep suggesting that it would be great if Coke Studio comes to India or maybe Indian musicians are introduced in the original Coke Studio.
While they demand their version of Coke Studio, there are many who believe that there is no need of separate version as music like Coke Studio breaks all boundaries and that they are equally in love with it. Though Coke Studio doesn’t air on any Indian TV channel, the music lovers watch it on YouTube at Coke Studio’s official YouTube channel. Here are few comments posted in an Indian facebook group.
Sameer Chhabra writes in a topic in Coke Studio’s Facebook group:
Though Coke Studio is run in Pakistan, it is equally loved in India, at least I am big fan. It truely represents subcontinent’s culture, and the common musical heritage of Pakistan and India. Coke Studio is an amazing example of the fact that music does not have any boundaries, hence Coke Studio has not boundaries and is enjoyed by all.
I want to thank the producers of this show for creating a wonderful show for music lovers of the subcontinent. I want to thank the people of Pakistan who are great admirers and lovers of music. We share a common musical heritage, lets enjoy it, together.
Anurag Purwar writes in a reply to Sameer:
I agree with Sameer. I am totally blown away by the quality of music in Coke Studio. Zeb, Ali Zafar, Atif, Shafaqat, all of them are very good singers. What I really like about the program is that music wise it is destroying boundaries. I hope it also removes boundaries in the heart of people from the subcontinent.
I’d like to present my gratitude to the producers and entire team of the Coke Studio who gave us another reason to be Proud Pakistanis. It is true that Coke Studio is breaking borders and is loved by music loves across the borders. And Coke Studio is such a treasure that cannot be stolen by anyone. Go on Coke Studio, Guppu Entertainment supports you and will keep promoting you globally.
Our source tells us that something is already cooking between Coke India and a TV channel. Chances are this is going to be the Indian version of Coke Studio.
