India’s famous comedy soap Khichdi is now going on big screen. That’s right! The all new fun filled comedy film Khichdi The Movie is being released today!
Around 9 years ago, a new laughter series was initiated by Aatish Kapadia which was technically and operationally backed by Jamnadas Majethia. The serial was broadcast for around 4 years on Star Plus and then another 3 years on Star One!
Khichdi got a huge overwhelming response from across the sub continent as the dumb family used to burst the viewers into laughter!
This huge success became the stimulus for the producers to take this dumb family on big screen and thus Khichdi The Movie is hitting the big screens today! I personally am a big fan of this series but I was a bit disappointed to see that not all the old cast was there in the film and many prominent actors were replaced!
The very important actor Vandana Pathak who had been playing JayShree awesomely on the TV series but in the movie, the actress has been replaced.
While speaking exclusively to Guppu.com, Vandana said she was overwhelmed to know that their serial Khichdi is so much liked in Pakistan and to know that it has fans across the borders too. She further clarified that she is also disappointed that she couldn’t manage time for Khichdi The Movie due to the busy schedules! She also promised that she will come up with something great soon!
2 other main actors who played Jackie and Chukky are also replaced. Chukky is replaced with the Producer’s own daughter! 3 more characters are seemed to be missing in the movie! Namely Bhavesh Kumar, Raju and Malesa!
Guppu.com wishes good luck for the movie, however I am afraid if the movie doesn’t take off, it maybe because of the few original actors gone missing! Watch out the trailer of Khichdi The Movie!
