It was only a few weeks ago that I heard that the 3rd season of my favourite Pakistani TV series Taake Ki Aye Gi Baraat is going to start soon. I was really excited and couldn’t just wait for it to begin; days passed and finally the day of airing the show came but due to my immensely busy schedule with job and office stuff, I couldn’t get in front of TV on time. Same happened with the repeat telecast schedules. No way I wanted to miss it.
Resorting to the internet trying to search something, my first try was YouTube and to my surprise there were no episodes uploaded there as of 3rd day of the telecast, which disappointed me even more. Just when I was almost abandoning the idea of trying to watch it over the internet, something struck my mind! I was trying to remember that Pakistani video website I knew; yes it was VidPK.com
To my surprise, in such an organized content of the website, I found the desired episode in like a couple of minutes. That was the moment I realized how relieving this website is. They have such an organized structure of the website that finding almost any Pakistani show is just fingers away.
As far as the issue of legitimacy of the website and copyright stuff of the website etc, one can easily assess the professionalism of the guys behind the website. But copyrights of the shows remain an issue. However looking at it in a broader perspective, we’ll realize that this website is actually doing no harm to the content owners, it is in fact promoting it. Promoting it not just to the Pakistani audience, but to the global audience including India. So the pakistani content which was difficult to make it to the global audience, making it through this vidpk portal. Perhaps this is the very reason that the content owners would themselves want their content on Vidpk.com. Therefore, as long as the owners of the content are happy, the law is happy!
So our overall experience at the website has been great and I’d like to rate this website 8/10
