What was the start of your career?
When I was not even in 7th standard I did a photo shoot and a commercial with a prominent figure in business industry Mehmud Sipra (ex-husband of Salma Agha) after that I worked in a movie which was my first movie ‘Kaanta’ opposite Mohsin Hasan Khan. While doing my first movie, I was very confused as I’d no idea how to convey the dialogues and to present the body language in front of camera. Later I did ‘Chief Sahab’, that proved to be a milestone in my career. It was directed by the great ‘Sheikh Sahab’.
How you start your day?
Well, I’m a great believer of God and I believe I’m here because of Him so I pray fives times no matter what and after that I start my routine work. Let me tell you that I performed three Umrah’s and two Hajj’s and I belong from a Sayed family who are great believers of Bibi Pak Daman.
What are you doing these days?
Right now I’m endorsing Tarang and Lux and getting offers from other companies too but lets see what I choose.
Not long ago, you made an statement that you’re leaving film industry?
So many times, I’ve been incorrectly interpreted by media and I’m tired of this. I’ve a lot to do in this industry and would like to work as a director and producer too. My biggest ambition is to win an ‘Oscar’ now.
Why an ‘Oscar’?
As I told you, I want to produce movies and I will make a movie that will honor me with an ‘Oscar’ Insh’Allah!
Recently you honored with Sitara-i-Imtiaz. What were your feelings while receiving it ?
I paid for what I did for 16 years in an industry that is no longer worth but yeah Prime Minister and President congratulated me personally.
Veena said once that you envy her. Is that so?
Haha! Why do I envy her? And on what? On cheapness and nudity? She was a good actress but she spoiled herself.
She also said that you made an attempt to throw acid on her face?
I told you she is cheap and a liar too.
Why you got to enact a revenge fantasy against journalists everywhere?
I avoid Urdu media may be that’s why people think so. To be very honest they literally made fun of my personal life by projecting a man who has lust for fame.
Why people scandalized you so much? Where is the problem?
You know there is so much jealousy in our country. One can’t see other successful especially me as I accomplished so much in such a short span of time.
Asma Jahangir took your case? What happened?
She didn’t pay attention at all to my case.
Which is the biggest scandal you faced so far?
I don’t care. Let the people say what they want to say.
You are engaged now with Naveed Parvez?
No not at all. I’m still in search of an ideal. His family came home for my proposal and I do respect him, basically he is a nice-hearted person but still he is not my ideal.
Who is your ideal then?
No one, as I couldn’t find the man that match my status. I want a man that respects women and talks sensitively.
Tell me about a situation when your work was criticized in India?
I’m proud of what I did in India. Nazar was a good project and I was appreciated a lot by many of my fans but I’m annoyed of what Ali Zafar did in India, he had to work in Pakistan first.
A year ago, Salmaan Taseer shot dead by his own body guard. When you have been criticized by media, he helped you a lot. What you want to say about him?
He was a great man. He always considered me as his own child and I called him uncle. Its like I lost my father. He promised give me 2 crores for Shafqat Trust. Sadly! We lost a versatile man.
What is Your Greatest Weakness?
I trust everyone.
Do you read books?

What kind of Music Soothes You?
