The National Assembly Speaker’s action comes on the heels of sealing of another record, the ‘Death of Osama Bin Laden’ in-camera proceedings.

The records to be made public, according to news, are the in-camera sessions that had resulted in the constitutional amendment declaring the entire community of Ahmadis as non-Muslims in Pakistan.

In 1974, with closely orchestrated maneuvers by the late Prime Minister Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, the closed-door proceedings had resulted in the second amendment of the then freshly minted constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The records of the month-long session in the National Assembly were ordered sealed for 30 years pursuant to an executive orders issued by Prime Minister Bhutto citing extra-ordinary religious sensitivities.

The National Assembly Secretariat has announced that the unsealed transcripts are in the process of being printed for inclusion in the Secretariat library.

Many have long held views that the artificial exploitation of the Ahmadiyya community, the closed-door hearings and the passage of anti-Ahmadiyya constitutional amendment in the National Assembly were all a political stunt by Mr. Bhutto to appease the extremist element in the Pakistani legislature where he was suffering from popularity deficiency.

Eventually, however, it may have cost him his life.

Mr. Bhutto was overthrown in a military coup and later hanged by his successor General Ziaul Haq who was strongly supported by the religio-political parties and the religious extremists in Pakistan.

Ahmadis hope that the transcripts have not been altered and the unedited audio and video recordings will be made public also.

All five members of the Ahmadiyya community who had appeared before the National Assembly in summer of 1974 to defend the Ahmadiyya views are now deceased.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was executed on the orders of the worst military dictator of Pakistan’s history Zia ul Haq.

However this report was later disproved by Sanam Bhutto herself stating that the writer of this report is so irresponsible. She has further said that there was no such interview conducted. She also said that there is no clash between Bhutto family and in the PPP and her full support is with President Zardari.

President’s spokesperson Farhatullah Babar has also slammed the media especially The News for allowing space for such stories. And I would like to say that this is not another bombshell in store for Zardari, but for Jang Group especially this writer Azim M Mian who has risked the credibility of The News International .

I appreciate Jang Group’s policy of free speach that allows diversed opinions but I think they need to be a little more careful before publishing such reports and they should verify the facts before allowing the space to any of such articles.

But wait a moment, before that, we have birthday of Pakistan’s founding father, and a great leader Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on Dec 25. All TV channels excluding PTV were featuring much patriotic coverage according to the ocassion. I was waiting for PTV to show any promo of the coverage of Quaid’s birthday, but all in vain. After all, what can we expect from the holy Information Minister Mohtarma Sherry Rehman?

In this post, I didn’t mean to disgrace Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, I respect her. But is it like, she is becoming a holy character for us? I mean Yes! we should be presenting her the tribute but we shouldn’t be forgetting our real heros.

I have seen people quoting Benazir Bhutto’s sayings as if they are quoting a hadith. Many places including Airports, Hospitals, Housing Societies, Sports grounds are named after her. Even coins are gonna be having BB’s photo. Guys! isn’t it too much of the tribute?

Jinnah’s birthday is just 2 days ahead, and we are still waiting to see PTV’s coverage. Will PTV create a balanced coverage? or it will continue to make blunders? Tell me your feelings in the comments.

Zaid Aziz of Vox Vision, a Pakistani Production company announced the making of a film with cooperation of a British film company. This film will be depicting the life of late Pakistani leader Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The main character i.e. the character of Benazir bhutto will be played by bollywood filmstar Sushmita Sen. I personally feel that Sushmeta is not a very good choice. I think Ali Saleem is better option. hehehe He was the damn favourite imitator  of Mohtarma who was liked by Mohtarma herself.
