This attack was carried outside Marriott Hotel Islamabad. It is being said that about 1000 KG explosive material was used in this attack that resulted in the casualties of at least 67 and injuries of at least 203 people. This attack is being termed as “Pakistan’s 9/11″ by the officials. Pakistanis from all fields have expressed their anger and condemned this cowardly and deadly attempt.

People have expressed various opinions, some associated the attacks to the Taliban, millitants, and Indian involvement while others called it a result of American policies.

For ages, people have been blaming Pakistan to be the responsible of terrorism. In fact we are the one who have suffered the most out of this terrorism, We’ve been targeted and at the end, these are innocent Pakistanis who die unnatural and horrible death. What I believe is that America is worsening the situation by forcing Pak Army to carry out a operation in tribal areas.

I think terrorism has now become the biggest threat for Pakistan, therefor we should remove America’s involvement and put all over efforts to eliminate terrorism.

Americans Hate Bush! I am going to feature a website that is actually dedicated to depict and showcase Americans’ hate against Bush.

This Website is “Why We Hate Bush?” They have discussion forums where majority of people say that they love Pakistan and Pakistanis. Have a look at Why Americans Hate Bush:

Bush and his oligarchic companions sabotaged American democracy so they could pillage taxpayer resources.

Bush and his cabal of henchmen lied to the American people about Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, and they continue to obfuscate the truth while their companies cash in, Iraqis suffer and American soldiers die.

Bush is bad for business and the economy. He is only interested in enriching himself and his friends.

Bush is bad for the future. He is compromising the prosperity of tomorrow’s America by shortchanging today’s children.

Bush is bad for the environment.

The Bush Administration has manipulated the media to the point of undermining the Constitutional guarantees of a Free Press.

Bush has tried to undermine the United Nations, a democratic institution created in large measure by Presidents Eisenhower and Truman. Without even understanding what the UN does, Bush has called it “irrelevant” when it fails to fall in line with his dictates.

Bush is inarticulate and projects a stereotype abroad of Americans being ignorant and myopic.

Bush torpedoes global agreements on everything from racism and global warming to biological weapons and land mines, and then expects the world to line up behind him.

Bush took positive patriotism and global support in the wake of 9/11 and forced it behind his own narrow self-interest in Iraq. He hijacked 9/11 for his own benefit.

Bush stands against everything America stands for.

People on this website further say that they support Pakistan’s stand for sovereignty and dignity of the nation. Another reference I am gona quote is of US Congressman Dennis Kucinich who recently said:

“The President is once again violating international law by invading yet another nation which has not attacked the United States. Once again, he places our troops and our reputation at risk. Once again, he creates more enemies for America. Pakistan’s objections to the illegal US Predator strikes inside the country’s border should be a clear indication of how Pakistan would respond to another illegal attack upon their sovereign nation.

“Pakistan is a nuclear flash point on the Asian subcontinent. This situation requires intense diplomacy. The United States under George Bush is playing with fire, creating more instability, killing innocent Pakistanis, imperiling our troops in the region and weakening the hold our allies have on their democratic governments. Instead of limiting aggression, Bush expands it.

Congress must intervene legislatively and legally to block Bush from continuing down this dangerous path, he added.

Those who think Musharraf isn’t a traitor! style="text-align: justify;">Unofficial resources discovered that it was Musharraf who tried to sell the country back in July 2008 in the form of an agreement with President Bush. Musharraf allowed America to carry out the assaults inside Pakistan’s boundaries anytime, and even without prior permission of Pakistan.

Chief of Army Staff denied any such agreement. New York Times reported that Bush had already approved the order to carry out assaults inside Pakistan. Officials say they will notify Pakistan about the major attacks. According to New York Times, Pakistani government allowed to carry out limited ground assaults. Here is some pars of The New York Times story:

President Bush secretly approved orders in July that for the first time allow American Special Operations forces to carry out ground assaults inside Pakistan without the prior approval of the Pakistani government, according to senior American officials.

The classified orders signal a watershed for the Bush administration after nearly seven years of trying to work with Pakistan to combat the Taliban and Al Qaeda, and after months of high-level stalemate about how to challenge the militants’ increasingly secure base in Pakistan’s tribal areas.

American officials say that they will notify Pakistan when they conduct limited ground attacks like the Special Operations raid last Wednesday in a Pakistani village near the Afghanistan border, but that they will not ask for its permission.

Pakistan’s top army officer said Wednesday that his forces would not tolerate American incursions like the one that took place last week and that the army would defend the country’s sovereignty “at all costs.”

It is unclear precisely what legal authorities the United States has invoked to conduct even limited ground raids in a friendly country. A second senior American official said that the Pakistani government had privately assented to the general concept of limited ground assaults by Special Operations forces against significant militant targets, but that it did not approve each mission.

The official did not say which members of the government gave their approval.

Now who do you believe was it? Who gave the approval? Think once again.

A Phone call does it all. . .

From Our Bloggers

bush

musharraf

pm

yousaf raza gillani
<guid

It has been reported that more then 70 innocent people had lost their lives and hundreds are injured. Taliban immediately accepted the responsibility of blasts and demanded to stop the military operation and negotiations. They further threatened to continue the series of blasts in Punjab.

Several retired army generals suggested that the so called “War on Terror” drama should be stopped now and government should negotiate with Talibans in order to stop these dreadful incidents. It was said that government will take action on it and will give hands of negotiations. The first statement of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani was that Government is ready for negotiations.

After about an hour, it was reported that PM received a phone call from President Bush. Officials stated that the call was to congratulate PM to solve the matter of Musharraf. Now just imagine, Musharraf resigned on 18, whereas Bush calls on 21 August to congratulate.

And what next? PM Yousaf Raza Gillani immediately changes his statement that Government will not negotiate and will continue the Operation. Later, the government officials including Sherry Rehman acknowledged that government will continue operation in tribal areas.

Now I left this on you people. You decide what that phone call was for? To congratulate or . . .?
