Also, that he has ordered a lawsuit against Google Pakistan’s “administrator” for apparently no reasons.

Apparently, no other channel or news media reported this and chances are that this could just be a sensationalism from ARY. But again, what can’t be expected from our very own Interior Minister Rehman Malik who’s got an ever declining repute and apparently no one takes him seriously. Oh by the way, you know the banana/apple connection, right? RIGHT…!?

We tried contacting Badar Khushnood, Google’s country consultant for Pakistan, to know whether ministry has officially tried to request any support or cooperation from the technology giant Google but we haven’t heard from him as yet. However, the updates on his social media profiles suggest that he also got no clue on what’s going on.

Even if he didn’t, ordering to file a case against him for what? Under what law? Have you gone nutts? oh no nuts, banana I should say? or apple? I don’t know. And you say you reserve the right to ban Youtube or Google, eh? You tech illiterate! Is this the way to ask for coordination from technology giant! You damn are totally threatening them!

I’d like to convey this to the concerned authorities that whoever had this horrible idea of attempting to ban internet(yes I say it internet because Google is a sort of gate of internet!), really stinks! Like seriously.. it’s a bad..BAD idea! Mark my words and take it as caution; messing with the technology sector(which is trying hard to survive on its own) to cover your own incompetencies or impotency I should say, would lead you nowhere. You’ll ultimately face a worst sort of retaliation or even rebellion. This is the start, we at Guppu.com are creating a new category where we’ll be keeping an eye on censorship and will do our best to defend the freedom of speech.

Finally Fox News Exposed!

EYE TEE

News

fox news

fox news lies

google

pakistan

porn

porn searches

sex
<guid

Even if Pakistan has lots of porn searches, and USA has less porn related searches, this proves what? People of USA are very noble? They don’t watch porn? Well, thats probably because porn is publicly available there in DVDs and other forms. Whereas in Pakistan, you cannot find porn in DVDs. Don’t belive me? Check this wikipedia article that has UN report which shows USA tops on rape crimes. So how does this sound to you? United States of Rape ?? or something even worst?

So this is very clear that the reporters should be responsible while writing insensible words which are based on lies, corrupt reports etc.

Pakistan: “Hey Dude! class="alignright size-full wp-image-50564" title="doodle" src="http://globalvoicesonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/doodle.jpg" alt="" />Pakistanis are using blogging as a medium to raise their voice about an important issue regarding the technology giant Google’s biases. The issue what we are talking about is Google Doodles for Pakistan. Google Doodles refers to the Google’s logo designs project that Google does occasionally. Google celebrates and tribute certain festivals, events and personalities using these doodles. But never have we seen doodles for famous Pakistani or Muslim festivals. Some famous festivals like Eid and Ramadan are celebrated across the entire Muslim world.

Bloggers are having different views and opinions regarding reasons and suggestions. The voice was first raised by Bites85 at ProPakistani, later supported by many bloggers. Let’s see what Pakistani bloggers are saying:

Sohaib Athar at ReallyVirtual writes:

I personally think that Google not showing any Doodles for Islamic events has something to do with their “Do No Evil” policy Seriously though, while Google can not be forced to cater to each segment of their customer base, especially since doodling is the secondary responsibility of the guy who creates them, but given that

Google has doodles for other religious holidays

Muslims form a huge chunk of their customer base – much larger than, say, Pakistanis, or people who like Escher

Google has doodles for birthdays and other days that only a tiny portion of the world celebrates

Google is a PUBLIC company (which does matter)

… by not having a doodle for a single Islamic event/holiday so far, the message they are sending out, to many Muslims, says something like ‘We are the biggest website around and are a global company, but we don’t really care about the Muslim culture and won’t even consider it to be worth a doodle’ – really bad marketing.

On the other hand, some bloggers are bit polite and expressing their views that it might be the reason that Google doesn’t want to get into any cartoon controversy.

Here is what Dr. Awab at Teeth Maestro has to say:

What has been seriously missing in its endless inventory of hundreds of Google Doodles is any logo commemorating a Muslim celebration, be it Eid or any other Islamic celebration, that said I am sure there maybe a little hesitancy on making a graphic image of an Islamic event and not fall into a potential cartoon controversy, but I assure you there are way to ensure that these innocent efforts dont back fire. If Islamic events are too hot too handle then we also fail to see Google honoring a National day of a Muslim country like Pakistan. Pakistan has been on the Google map for sometime but we have yet to be honored with an Independence day google graphic on Google.com.pk, our neighbors India instead has instead been on the receiving end of quite a few celebratory doodles gifts from Diwali to even an 15th August doodle on Google.co.in website. But we here in Pakistan sit doodling our fingers in jittery anticipation.

I urge Google to seriously consider our humble request it wont hurt if they surprised Muslims or Pakistani with a customized doodle, I assure you it wont hurt a fly, but only will go to uplift the morals of a nation and indirectly develop a level of trust and understanding with people on this side of the border.

I personally acknowledge that Google services have won the hearts of almost every Pakistani or Muslim internet user. People prefer Google’s services over its competitors. Therefor I believe it doesn’t go with the Google’s image to be biased to any community. So I hope Google will listen to over voice and will place an Eid Doodle this time :)

Google News Pakistan is here

EYE TEE

News

google

google news

google pakistan

google pakistan news

pakistan

You guys must have heard of Google’s Browser. Google has recently launched a web browser “Google Chrome”. Like everybody, I too am a great fan of Firefox. Hearing about this chrome, I thought to go at official website and lets read what they boast off. But their boasted wording attracted me when it said sleek and light web browser. Firefox often creates trouble at my laptop, so I thought to give Chrome a try.

What then? I downloaded it and installed it. It automatically copied my bookmarks, saved passwords from Firefox. After installation process I opened the browser and got relaxed to see a nice clean interface. I was impressed to see the light and sleek interface. Anyhow, I started working on it. Again I was overjoyed to see that what they boasted was actually true. I mean the browsing was actually very fast.

So after testing Chrome in terms of lightness and speed, I thought to try browsing high tech websites which require latest and updated browser plugins. I then browsed many websites ranging from Youtube to critical TV streaming websites, even then Chrome didn’t prompted me to install any additional plugin and speed still remaind fast.

Therefor, I know it’s quite early to comment on it but the bottom line is that the beta release is quite impressive. With refernce to Pakistani internet surfers, especially those who are using pirated operating systems and are not able to upgrade to IE 7 or IE 8, this is as of today, indeed a great and light browser.
