In this report, the writer mentions that Sanam Bhutto the sister of slain Pakistani former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and the only living child of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, has put certain allegations on President Zardari in an interview to Ms. Daphne Barak, an American journalist. He claimed that Sanam Bhutto has accused Zardari for being elected using his wife’s legacy, taking over the property and insurance of Benazir Bhutto and using it for the interest of Zardari’s family. The writer also claimed that Sanam Bhutto has said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also not happy of what President Zardari has been doing and Bilawal will come to public to discredit his father’s claims of material and political inheritance.

However this report was later disproved by Sanam Bhutto herself stating that the writer of this report is so irresponsible. She has further said that there was no such interview conducted. She also said that there is no clash between Bhutto family and in the PPP and her full support is with President Zardari.

President’s spokesperson Farhatullah Babar has also slammed the media especially The News for allowing space for such stories. And I would like to say that this is not another bombshell in store for Zardari, but for Jang Group especially this writer Azim M Mian who has risked the credibility of The News International .

I appreciate Jang Group’s policy of free speach that allows diversed opinions but I think they need to be a little more careful before publishing such reports and they should verify the facts before allowing the space to any of such articles.
