1 Waqar Zaka, the only VJ , who creates the program himself since Waqar works as a concept writer at THE MUSIK Channel & does the complete direction & editing of his own shows. Currently Executive Producer of Living on the Edge (Pakistan most wanted youth reality show).

2 Waqar did his electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology.

3 First & the only Host of any dare based reality show in the World who has performed dares himself & also broken the World Record of Kissing 19 Cobras previously held by a Snake charmer of Thailand. (Hosts of shows like Fear Factor or Guinness Book has never performed or attempted any dare themselves)

4 Created XPOSED a show which practically solved the issues of common people rather then just discussing it as other hosts do in most of the Live shows & it was in this show that Waqar saved a bus from getting burned during a protest against load shedding at Nishat Cinema , Saddar & made the people to stop protesting by blocking the M.A. Jinnah Road where other news channels were just recording the event.

5 Created the first Dare based reality show of Pakistan Living on the Edge, which is currently rated as the top reality show of PAKISTAN.

6 The objective of Living on the edge Pakistan tour is to go to the major 5 to 6 cities of each Pakistani Province, take open auditions , on the basis of attitude & common sense to answer & bear the pressure that VJ Waqar puts in the audition to select the best from each city, later through a series of dares, one wins the title of the most daring person of the city & that title is given by the City or District Nazim, after that a contest among cities for the title of the most daring person of the Province and finally there will be a Grand Final deciding who stand out as the most daring person of Pakistan.

7 These dares include tasks like staying under water for maximum time to getting specific things from wild animals cage to public services dares like collecting maximum charity for certain cause, in short you will see ordinary Pakistani people performing extraordinary things to become the most daring person of Pakistan.

8 The show is popular as viewers get to see wired to amazing Pakistani people & its not your usual VJ based typical live show.

9 The most important & unique thing that attracts the viewers the most is the presentation style of Living on the Edge & its promos, amazing selection of background music, entire treatment of the show is done as if you are watching some suspense filled Movie as the montages are perfectly placed & this credit goes to Waqar who introduced a new style of editing & presenting a reality show in Pakistan which no other director is able to accomplish. That is the reason many other channels tried to start a reality show after Waqar’s but unable to get the success due their show’s presentation weakness.

10 Direction , editing , Promo making & specially placement of background music are the main skills of Waqar which makes all of his shows equivalent to any international standard reality show. Truly, Waqar is a real talent!

11 The name of the show ‘Living on the Edge’ was later copied by a British reality show.

When we talk about a reality show, an immediate idea that comes to our mind is that begging for votes, judges fights, dancing jodis, singing competitions, fashion competitions etc. But let me make it very clear! Living on the Edge is not about that all.

Living on The Edge is extraordinarily original and creative concept of famous and daring Pakistani leading VJ Waqar Zaka. Yes! This name is not new to you guys, its Waqar Zaka who is the only host of Pakistan who is the concept writer , Director, Editor, Producer of the shows at THE MUSIK. Waqar Zaka is the same daring guy who recently broke world record of kissing 20 cobras. He has further hosted many leading shows like XPOSSED, FOOL-FISH and LOTE.

Now you guys must be thinking that what exactly Living on The Edge is all about, Well its 2008 season is based on Pakistan Tour. They will be conducting the auditions across the country and Waqar will select the daring and confident contestants to compete further. They will be competing against each other to win the title of most daring human of their city, In the second stage, they will struggle to win the title of the most daring human of their province and then eventually, They will strive to become the most daring human of Pakistan. They will be given the dares by Waqar Zaka and he will be judging them also.

History: First season of LOTE was started in 2005, and the show became very popular that the idea was copied by various channels of the neighboring country. But still Living on The Edge remains the most unique show of its kind.
