It’s finally over now, Pervaiz Musharraf (former Pakistani President) has resigned on Monday August 18, 2008. He delivered his resignation Speech at 1:00 PM local time. In the speech, Musharraf tried to convince the nation of whatever he did was in the best interest of the nation. He emphasized on his well wished intention for the nation. Have a look at the video: There has always been a controversial attitude of people towards Musharraf. Some say that he was fine in the best interest of the nation, but most say that he did everything to create hatred among the provinces and the people. I personally believe that it is right that Musharraf’s policies and decisions caused hate and liberation movements among the provinces. People across the country started dancing and celebrating this news. They distributed sweets among each other. It seems true what most of the opinion polls said that about 85% Pakistani hate Musharraf and want him to resign. People are still emphasizing that Musharraf shouldn’t be left escaped, in fact he should be questioned to the courts of law. Moreover, He is accused of suspending twice the constitution of the country, Suspending the Judiciary and imposing curbs on Media.
