Telenor has announced that it will be offering free mobile Internet to customers who buy the Nokia Asha 302 from them to use with their DJuice mobile phone plan. The mobile Internet bucket will last three months from the date of purchase. The Asha 302 will cost Rs. 10,000 if bought directly from Telenor. Unfortunately the Internet bundle is limited to just 25MB per month. The Asha 302 is a surprisingly good phone for the price tag, Nokia lovers and customers who love to text will love the phone. The Series 40 OS running phone is powered by a 1GHz single core processor which ensures a lagless UI. Software wise the Asha comes bundled with Whatsapp, Facebook Chat among other popular IM apps and lastly Microsoft Exchange email which is a first for Nokia (probably due to their partnership with Microsoft). The phone supports 3G but is currently of no use in our beloved country. The phone’s build quality is very good with metallic accents all over the keys and sides. The phone is also not network locked as we might have expected so you can use the phone with any network you may want. The QWERTY form factor phone measures in at 115.2 x 58.9 x 13.5 mm and weighs 106 grams which makes it compact and easy to hold in the hands. The screen is a TFT, 256K colors, 2.4-inch screen with a 240 x 320 pixels resolution display. The Asha has around 140 MB of internal memory which can be expanded to 32 GB with a microSD memory card. The camera is a 3.2 MP shooter and records video in VGA resolution at 15 frames per second. The Li-Ion 1320 mAh battery powers the phone for 9 hours of constant talking so it should last those insomnia ridden users the whole night. Overall the Asha 302 sounds like an awesome phone for the price.

No! I didn’t design the following image file. I got this through a forwarded email sent to my by a close friend of mine. No need to describe, the picture says it all.
