This images has been making its rounds across the social media spaces in Pakistan and abroad. The image in question is distributed by state influenced news agency APP (Associated Press of Pakistan) to the press and is blatantly photoshoped as an attempt to show the several times larger audience then the actual number of people present there. The image has gone viral over the internet media spaces of Pakistan. Social media seems to have taken yet another lead in this so called war between the conventional and new media as it has repeatedly proven that true voices can no longer be manipulated.

Since assuming office in the early September of 2008, Zardari has presided over an increasingly fragile country and an even frailer populace. The people of Pakistan paralyzed by economical devastation, growing terrorism and political instability succumb to misery and disappointment, every day of their lives. In such times, when all hope abates from the surrounding, the savior, the leader, the President should be the one who comforts and reassures of a better future – clearly Asif Ali Zardari is not the man for the job.

Nearly 3 years have passed with Zardari as the Head of State of Pakistan. In this time of uncertainty and instability, Mr. Zardari has held a strong grasp of his command over the nation and seldom flinched to his adversaries. Largely unpopular among the masses and considered a fool by the international community, Zardari bears the title of the most hated man in the country, shamelessly. Abhorrence by a nation of 180 million, has failed to drift him away from the presidential seat but oddly enough, made him immune to insult and disrespect. With his blatant demeanour, he smiles towards the young and old who chant his name spitefully, all across the nation. His smirk, I believe is not only rooted to his vast riches but also perhaps to his satisfaction of knowing that the people who curse him now, were the ones who voted for him.

Elected by the people, Zardari in his defense rightfully stands as the 14th President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. But in our minds and hearts, we know this to be a terrible mistake. So how did this loathed character start his political aspiration? Well the marriage of Benazir Bhutto with Asif Ali Zardari can be taken as the initiative of our president’s fame and fortune. He was the un-liked man known as a playboy of a lesser Sindhi tribe while on the other hand she, the well reputed daughter of one of the most powerful man in the country. Parted by social circles, lifestyles and basic standards of society, one still fumbles to conclude as to why and how these two souls were consummated in matrimonial ceremony. Yet contrary to everyone’s predicament the marriage did not fall apart, in fact much to all’s surprise, it enthused as a happy one – till of course death made them part.

The demise of Benazir, highlighted the perceived grieving Zardari and earned him sympathy in the people’s eyes and the Noble chair of Pakistan People’s Party. His perception and character simultaneously changed in front of the nation. It was as if he was not the man once known to Pakistan as a fraudulent and murderous criminal. Now Asif Ali Zardari was first and foremost, a pitiable widower. Few would believe that there was ever a time during the campaign for ’08 when the crippling reputation of Zardari led Benazir and her political party to hide him from the masses. Mr. 10 percent with his persona of an uneducated man fickle to his nation’s wellbeing, was seen as an imminent political liability and was kept away from the public eye as much as possible.

Time however changed the cascade of his life – with a frame of Benazir’s picture and the grasp over her followers; he soared straight to the Presidential palace. Till date, the widower lifts his wife’s photograph to attract masses towards his willful proceedings or uses it to dissuade them from giving him a hard time. All this in time has reflected important aspects of Asif Ali Zardari’s stubborn and immoral character. Voicing his wants through the masquerade of Benazir Bhutto he acutely undermines the woman and spreads disgrace to her soul. The apparent better-half is undoubtedly the worst relation that encompassed Benazir’s life and her death. But rests assure the man in his own way did pay tribute to the woman that brought him so much. In a glimpse Benazir as a patron of justice was glorified by all, her photo’s hanged on the walls of the presidency, national assembly and all other political and social offices. Uncontrollable as he is, Zardari crossed all barriers of ethics and loyalty when he led his wife’s face to notoriously cover that of the, Quaid’s.

However the quest of Zardari’s corrupt progression failed to stop there, with growing power, he further moved to torment and beleaguer the people of his nation. In times of peace he would go out of his way to enrage the people with an imprudent statements, although thankfully this is occasionally the case. Most of the time, Zardari is nowhere to be seen, especially in periods of distress when our nation is crumbling to a foreign threat, suffering from a natural devastation or is weakened by unrest. As an extremely busy man, our President, sweeps into his golden nest to devil and ponder over more important stuff like how to retain more national treasury in his pocket. Baring any responsibility is too much to ask for, from a man whose life revolves around everything and anything besides his nation. In light of some little shed of buoyancy however, this odd manner of neglect and ignorance does suit both him and the people, as neither want to consider the existence of the other. However contrary to our ignorance, the conflict of the people’s interest with that of the President’s continues to gravely terrorize our national sovereignty.

Now as the sand of time brings forth many other new challenges, the political future of our nation prominently hovers over us. With the year in its focal point, the smoke of 2013’s general elections has well diffused into our country’s far corners. Many prominent political parties have even established their campaigns into the internal corners of our four provinces. Among the contestants lies our President’s own heir, Bilawal Bhutto, who recently announced of his will to run from Lyari. Though Zardari refutes (with political incentive of course) to tie his own name with that of his son’s, the close relation of the two lays with thick blood. And so with the same web of democratic deceit the Zardari’s or/and the Bhutto’s linger again over our heads to gain power over yet another generation. In any hope to save our country from another tyrannical vulnerability we must unite to resist against the progeny of our infamous leader.

In the end, Zardari with his illicit wit, has skill-fully created another predicament for the people by way of his son’s political aspiration. Counting his days left in the Presidential palace he bestows upon his children to continue for him the practice of prowling the people of Pakistan, for every ounce of wealth. This, I suppose reflects Zardari’s long old dream of Presidential delinquency, this perhaps reflects the experiences he has been bestowed, from the prison cells to the most powerful office in the country.

Author’s note: A few days ago, Asif Ali Zardari celebrated his 57th Birthday. This is my belated present for him.

After all the political drama, the breakup and patch up of several alliances, it all comes down to this; the ruling PPP is now forming alliance with the same “villain party” PML Q. We can expect to see many changes in power in provincial and federal level. It is also being speculated that the governor Punjab might be replaced with Monis Elahi, son of Pervaiz Elahi of PML Q.

In the name of God, the merciful and beneficent

All praises to be Allah, who graces the believers with respect and support, and insults the infidels and apostates! Several prayers of peace for the leader of the warriors, God’s beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This is the warning from Islamic Warriors to the infidel world, the Christians, the Jews, and their friends from the Muslim community, especially the leader of the infidel Pakistani system, Zardari, and his ministers and all the institutions of this false system.

Oh Enemies of God

Apostates and Infidels, Listen to what’s being said carefully, and understand it! You people have crossed the limits in rebellion to God! You do the legislations which make the unlawful things lawful, and lawful things unlawful.

The Love of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is our faith. He is dear to us more than anything else in this world. We’ll sacrifice our lives, properties and everything in defense of his name. And will never tolerate even a slight word against him, God willing. As God says Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) should be dear to you above everything.

The Islamic Sharia prescribes the death penalty for the slanderer of Prophet (Peace be upon him).

By God, now in this world, among us and you, no one can survive while the other lives! You are confronting God to the extent that you do legislations in the favor of slanderer of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). And you appointed a Cursed, Infidel, Christian, Shahbaz Bhatti as the in-charge of Committee? This was the cursed end of the accursed Minister. And Now with Blessings and Support from God, the warriors will murder to hell each one of you. God willing.

Oh Warriors of Cross (Christians), We are at war with you until the religion of God leads the world, and infidels and disbelievers are destroyed! Or We become the martyrs as Syedina Hamza (May Allah be pleased with him) did.

During the meeting, President Zardari urged Prince Nayef to increase the number of Pakistani skilled laborers in in the country, discussing Pakastani-Saudi relations, as well as the enhancement of trade relations between both countries with Kuwait.

Pakistan’s Ambassador in Kuwait Iftikhar Aziz said the meeting would bring more investment opportunities. He also informed that more than 153,000 Pakistanis are currently working in Kuwait, who send $450 million remittances annually to Pakistan.

Fake Smiles

The truth is courts do not function in isolation; they also need to have options for them to take a particular course of action. One cannot expect a judge to stop a military dictator all by himself and neither can one expect the judiciary to clean the political mess that has accumulated over years, for now we are all stuck with flood waters and this political waste floating on top of it. Country’s economic and security conditions do not allow for any adventurous solution (plainly speaking nor does Army has one) and with the Exchequer falling below dead levels Mid Term elections is also not an option.

General Ashfaq Kiyani knows pretty well that Afghan conflict is now reaching a stage where the aces that his security establishment has been saving might bring result in their strategic ascendency, that last thing he want is to get sucked in a political imbroglio so he occasionally gives a slap on the back of Zardari’s hand to tell him that he can always be shipped to Dubai without much fuss.

Nevertheless the political scene is becoming increasingly chaotic. PPP has the biggest stakes for the status quo to be maintained and a fragile coalition keeps making the whole thing more complex and difficult to hold together. The most imminent and realistic danger that the PPP government is that of defections as that is the only plausible option for change under these circumstances. If there is a major shakeup in government offices due to an unfavorable NRO judgment it might prove to be the last straw for this current coalition government. For now it seems the best course of actions that has been decided is to keep the PPP government on tenterhooks.

This is such a pathetic and insensitive attitude of Mr. President as he is habitual of doing such pathetic things. Have a look at his recent photo and you’d like to spit on him.

It is quite blatant that these explosions are engineered by foreign agents. The influx of illegal aliens in Pakistan has reached uncontrollable magnitude. Karachi alone has more than five lacs of them. It has truly become a cosmopolitan city. Government officials are responsible for much of the holocaust that has been unleashed upon the innocent people. The students at the colleges and universities make a bold display of their weapons and use them without any license. Students of this country are being used by agents. It is the shameful act of these young boys to harm their very own motherland. Trucks loaded with weapons and explosive cover long and strenuous routes and cross all check posts. Nobody bothers what is happening.

In fact, the guardians of the country are busy in looting this country. They are the real wolves in guise of human beings. It is sad that power of money has corrupted the administration into complete subordination and inordinate lust for money has overtaken all norms of civility and decorum.
That is why throughout the length and breadth of the country Kalashnikovs, pistols, rifles, machine guns, rocket launchers and explosives are frequently used. As a result, the entire machinery of police force and military has been alerted to be vigilant about terrorists. This war against terrorism gives country nothing but widows, orphans, crippled and maimed soldiers with wooden legs, mutilated arms, debts and exorbitant taxes. Hunger, disease and famine also follow. Ezra Pound has depicted the ravages of terrorism in a similar way:

“Daring as never before,
Wastage as never before
Young blood and high blood
Fair cheeck and fine bodies……..
Hysterias trench confessions
Laughter out of dead bellies.”

There is no doubt that human nature at the moment is dominated by animal. But still we look forward to the day when the moral law will prevail in the world and men’s passions and instincts will be purged and ennobled by the loftier ideals of the spirits.

This is the 2nd part of Combating Subversion

I was doing a university project on the topic ‘Pakistan Presidency.’ So I thought I should google some data about the topic, so as to be able to prepare the report. I typed the search term ‘presidents of pakistan.’ The 3rd search result was of a link on the official website of State i.e. Pakistan.Gov.PK. It felt good to see that apparently the website is good at search engine optimization.

The real thing that made me sick was that I was taken to a page that has a list with the heading ‘PRESIDENTS OF PAKISTAN SINCE INDEPENDENCE.’ And while all the presidents were listed in the order and guess who was the latest president there? It was General (r) Pervez Musharraf with the title somewhat like this:

Now this thing is really amazing, isn’t it? I mean entire year has passed since the president was replaced and Pakistan State’s official website says Musharraf is ‘to date’ and ‘under constitution’ president of Pakistan. Would you say that these are minor blunders? Well certainly NO! In this age of Internet and IT, This is a MAJOR BLUNDER. There’s a big responsibility on all those who publish/monitor content on the official websites of the government. I am not even sure if they even have someone to monitor ! o_O
